So, yes, I am writing like Rachel Hollis and I are besties. HA HA! To my credit, I think that is why I love her and her work so much! She makes everyone feel like you are her new best friend. She is so real in everything she does from talking about boobs sagging to real trauma that she has experienced in life, it is hard not to think of her as a friend.
Anyway-her new book is coming out next week! I may be stalking the UPS man similarly to when I knew that MY books were being delivered. 🙂 If you are interested you can preorder your book , so you can be an UPS stalker, too!
From the back of my gal pal's new book:
In Girl, Stop Apologizing, #1 New York Times bestselling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company, Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call. She knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of other people—whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee—instead of learning how to own who they are and what they want. With a challenge to women everywhere to stop talking themselves out of their dreams, Hollis identifies the excuses to let go of, the behaviors to adopt, and the skills to acquire on the path to growth, confidence, and believing in yourself.
What I respect about Rach is that she point blank says, "I am NOT your cheerleader, I am your coach." She wants men and women to succeed, but she is going to tell it like it is and not sugar coat by being a cheerleader.
Another think I respect about her is that she is very upfront about how she has gone from high school graduate to owning a multimillion dollar company and it wasn't by relying on other people. She talks about building her business with a high school diploma and a Google search bar! She seems to me like someone that is not afraid to dig in and claw her way to the top by working hard and I love that she is not apologizing for who she is and where she is determined to go!
Have you read any of Hollis' books? Heard her speak? Did you watch Made for More?
